So October 3rd, yeah, that was a lie.


But I'm still here.


Just figuring some things out for my story... hence the break.


I wonder how many people are vested in this, and how many of them aren't Joe? HM... a fascinating question.


Either way here's a sketch:

So Pandora and Dorian, pretty much the main characters besides the 56+ who I consider to be really important.


Before I depart, just wanna say thanks to Joe. I kid but I really appreciate all of your support.


In a little while, at least before the summer, I will have a synopsis of Running Shadows written up and do my best to keep this updated.


No really, I mean it this time.

Just a quick update for the sake of updating. Pretty soon I expect I'll post some unfinished pictures and sketches instead of just hoarding them on my computer, and as far as my story goes, I'm in the process of crunching everything I've written and drawn about it. Hopefully in the near future I'll put up some actual stuff instead of a half-assed update.

On another note, I'm co-oping at the ROM and it is AMAZING! We're setting up planetariums and and touching artifacts and learning about civilizations that precede Sumer. It's sooo cool!

The top guy, Zane Shooter (the douchebag), was once part of the Wyvre Squad (a mercenary squad which I will elaborate more on later) but  betrayed them; the reason being he wanted more power. He soon got his wish. The evil mastermind, Boltolf Strayer, who has his schemes wraped in even the most underground or elite organization found him and proposed to give him the power he sought. The price was that Zane would have to work for Boltolf as his own personal killer. Any depraved act he wanted accomplished, Zane would have to do it. Surprisingly enough Zane had no issue with this and was bestowed a more refined version of the Deeper eyes.

Bottom left guy, Dorian Haverstock (the beefcake), is the opposite of Zane. While he is a contract killer, he is soldier of fortune. meaning he'll only take jobs that morally appeal to him. Honour is the most important aspect of his life and he would never betray anyone. When hearing about the corruption in the Antarctic colonies he agreed to work for Octavus Clark and joined the Silver Swan freedom fighters (I need a shorter name for them XD).

Finally the bottom right, Sitis, (Alli Friedman aka crying girl) is a special soldier  of Boltolf's. This picture is back when she was Alli, when she had a family; but when Boltolf destroyed her town because he suspected that rebels had a base there he took her in for experiments. After years of testing and modifying she became Sitis, an advanced cyborg and a member of the elite guard, the Four Horsemen (Sitis being latin for famine). 

Brief, very brief, but informative character descriptions of these three. Now is time for and INSIDE JOKE! Which you can now be apart of! 8D Each member of the Four Horsemen has abilities that somewhat resemble their name meaning (and when I say abilities I don't mean supernatural stuff). When I was brainstorming for Sitis's hers became that she eats everything in sight. So whenever she approaches she screams "FAMINE!!" and eat every ones wheat. That's why her body isn't in the picture, it wouldn't fit XD but seriously, she's not, that stuff is just for the abridged series XDD

SO HURRAY! I'm back and during the summer when I have NO SCHOOL I will keep updated!

On a side note, I created a little website on my links that has all the fanlistings I joined on the side. Hurray. Schools almost over so I can actually do stuff like this XD. I'll update my LJ with actual RS stuff later. >.>;;

OK! So to try and get this story off the ground and soaring into the big blue sky I'm gonna make a character list!! And then - then when I have pictures or something, I can, y'know, put a link beside the name and... This seemed brilliant a second ago... T^T 

YOU KNOW WHAT?! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO WRITE ABOUT!!

SO I WANT PEOPLE TO COMMENT AND TELL ME WHAT THEY WANT TO KNOW ABOUT MY STORY! PLEASE! ;_;

FIRST OFF THE NEWS! I've decided to enter this since I want to help out other artists and to get my name heard more often. http://mayshing.deviantart.com/journal/17840098/#journal Read about it, its pretty interesting. So that's the news and the update for the week >_>;; hehe, no art today.

Other than that I HAD this tag which originally was for DeviantArt but I figured since my update is pretty weak I'd add it in >_>;; BUT I removed because it was too big <_<;;

Time to introduce my main character of my story Running Shadows, Pandora Gayle!



So this is the main character! Some things in her short little bio probably need some sort of explanation.

First off, the 'hellhound' part. I don't want to give too much away, but before the story begins there's this huge war; WWIII I suppose. During that war, "the Empire" which was the super power then and still is in the present time line decided to manufacture human weapons by enhancing their skills. Three types of enhancements were developed, all of which could be identified by the person's pupils. An individual with no pupils is what's referred to as a 'pureblind' and this heightens the person's sixth sense. A 'deeper' is someone whose senses aren't affected, but their intellect. Statistics say that humans use only about 20% of their brain power, the deeper enhancements allow them to achieve the full 100% and these people can be identified by extremely dilated pupils that reflect no light. The final is the hellhound which enhances the individual's five senses and can be defined by their animalistic pupils as you can see with Pandora.

Concerning "the Empire", it's identity won't be revealed for quite some time. The only information that I can give out is that during the war it sought to unite sections of the world under one banner and while it succeeded for sometime, once its leader died from a disease it weakened considerably, loosening its grip on the places it conquered. In the present though it is starting to regain power, and although it no longer has its amassed land, it is still known as "the Empire".

As for the characters mentioned, they will be put soon enough hopefully along with even more information about Running Shadows which I shall update at least once a week. If I don't feel free to spam me!

DUDE! Where's my blog?! <_< I signed up and did nothing with it. Figures. I'm so confused by this place, but I'm getting the hang of it so bare with me!

Alright then! I've been meaning to do something like this in order to force myself to be good and work and my art/story stuff. Like the foolish fool I am I forgot I had an account here so I created one under Blogger... now I don't know which one to stick with or if I should continue with both >_>;;

So to start with I'll post what I posted there and see what I think of both places:

"Hello there! I'm Janjan, and, well, this is my journal thing! Hehe... I'm hoping to use this as not really a place to post my opinions, but ideas and ramblings about my story Running Shadows as well as later on a place to post my art.

I'm pretty new to this sort of thing and really I don't know where to begin so this is more or less an introduction of sorts... a very poor introduction. >_>;; I suppose I'll talk a little bit about my story then.

*ahem*

Well, Running Shadows takes place in the future around the year 2300. Despite that it isn't extremely Sci-Fi as one would think. The main change is that the sea level has risen dramatically changing the Earth's geography and that the world has entered a new stage of global cooling. The story takes place in Antarctica where large domes capable of holding entire cities have been established in order to combat the scarcity of land.

The main character is Pandora Gayle, ex-commander for a place which from here after will be known as the Empire, the super power of the day. There, along with her loyal ex-lieutenant Reade Cohan and her younger brother Chance Gayle, they join a group of freedom fighters established to take down an organization called the Crypsis Corporation. This monopolizing business has taken control of the Antarctic colonies in secret and plans on using its accumulated power on fulfilling the colonist's (who landed in America in the 17th century) goal of manifest destiny and take control of the entire western hemisphere.

Well that's the gist of it; though there is much more to it which will be revealed in later posts! I'll be putting up more information about the story as well as character profiles!"
